
JOB SUMMARY
The Data Centre Management Team Lead is responsible for overseeing all aspects of enterprise data
center operations across units within the Data Centre Management division including NOC &
Infrastructure Monitoring, Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BC/DR), and Infrastructure Planning
& Cloud Readiness. This role ensures the availability, resiliency, and long-term scalability of the
organization’s core infrastructure. The Team Lead provides leadership in infrastructure monitoring,
continuity planning, capacity forecasting, and cloud enablement while ensuring compliance with IT
governance and best practices.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Strategy:
– Lead and coordinate the activities of the NOC, BC/DR, and Infrastructure Planning teams.
– Align unit goals with organizational IT strategy to ensure high availability, resilience, and scalability.
– Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational efficiency and service delivery excellence.
NOC & Infrastructure Monitoring:
– Oversee real-time monitoring of the full technology stack, including servers, storage, switches,
firewalls, and critical infrastructure services.
– Ensure timely response to alerts and incidents affecting system and service availability.
– Manage monitoring tools and dashboards, proactively identifying performance bottlenecks and
failures.
– Maintain SLA metrics and escalation procedures across infrastructure teams.
Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BC/DR):
– Direct the full lifecycle planning, testing, and documentation of disaster recovery and business
continuity strategies.
– Ensure critical infrastructure and services are protected with proper failover, redundancy, and
restoration plans.
– Coordinate with application owners and business units to validate recovery point objectives (RPOs)
and recovery time objectives (RTOs).
– Support audits and compliance checks for continuity programs.
Infrastructure Planning & Cloud Readiness:
– Lead long-term capacity planning for on-premise data center infrastructure to meet future business
demands.
– Define and guide cloud readiness initiatives, including assessment, planning, and high-level
architecture design.
– Collaborate with technical teams to align hybrid infrastructure with cloud-native and modernization
efforts.
– Support infrastructure lifecycle management, including procurement, refresh, and decommissioning
strategies.
Documentation, Compliance & Reporting:
– Ensure comprehensive documentation of infrastructure assets, DR/BC procedures, and cloud
migration plans.
– Enforce compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry frameworks (ISO
27001, NCA ECC, etc.).
– Provide executive-level reporting on uptime, incident trends, DR tests, and infrastructure planning
KPIs.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: 15 years in IT infrastructure or data center operations, with at least 3 years in a
leadership role.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of infrastructure monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds,
Nagios, PRTG), Knowledge of virtualization, networking, storage, and hybrid cloud platforms
(Azure, AWS, VMware), Experience in developing and testing DR/BC strategies, Familiarity with
cloud readiness assessments and enterprise capacity planning.
Certifications (Preferred): ITIL, AWS/Azure Architect, DRII, ISO 22301, or related
infrastructure certifications.
Collaboration & Communication: Strong people management skills and ability to collaborate
across IT and business teams.
